On 24 July, 2023, as a result of the efforts of the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad and Afghan Consulate General in Karachi, at least 36 Afghan detainees were released from the Sindh Jail, Pakistan and were returned to their country at the expense of the Afghan government.
It is worth noting that so far 2472 Afghan detainees have been released from different jails of Pakistan, as the culmination of the efforts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
