Visa

The Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Pakistan issues visas to Pakistani nationals as wellas individuals residing in and applying from Pakistan. Due to regulatory constraints, we can only issue single entry visas valid for a one-month stay, except Business or other types of Visas (can be issued up to a maximum period of 3 years with multiple entries). Those wishing to stay longer in Afghanistan can apply to the Consulate Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul for an extension of their visa.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Online Visa Application Form. You can find and fill the application form via (http://econsulate.mfa.gov.af/InfoVisa.aspx). Please dont forget to print the form and bring it along with other necessary documents while visiting the Embassy.
  • The applicant’s passport must have at least six months validity and must have blank pages.
  • Applicants traveling for employment or business purposes must provide documentation from their present or prospective employer, or other organization concerned verifying purpose of visit and an authorization reference number from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan
  • Two standard passport size photos, affixed to the appropriate box on the application form (photos must be identical, recent, color on white background, taken directly off the face and show both ears).

Application process

  • Please visit the link (http://econsulate.mfa.gov.af/InfoVisa.aspx) to access and fill out the application form.
  • Read the guidelines about necessary documents, type of visa and payment method. 
  • Click the application to enter the form. Fill the application form and submit it. 
  • Print the filled form and bring it along with your passport and other necessary documents to the Embassy.
  • Please visit the Embassy to receive your passport along with the visa on the given date.

Application process for journalists

  • Visit the Embassy along with a letter from your concerned news agency, copies of passport and press card.
  •  The letter must include all the details about your visit (Purpose of reporting, departure and arrival dates, duration of stay, destinations in Afghanistan, address in Afghanistan, who do you want to meet..etc.)
  • After the reception of confirmation, you will be contacted to visit the Embassy along with the original copy of your passport. 
  • Please visit the link (http://econsulate.mfa.gov.af/InfoVisa.aspx) to access and fill out the application form.
  • Read the guidelines about necessary documents, type of visa, and payment method. 
  • Click the application to enter the form. Fill out the application form and submit it. 
  • Print the filled form and bring it while visiting the Embassy.
  • Please visit the Embassy to receive your passport along with your visa on the given date.
