Afghan Acting Ambassador Attends Graduation Ceremony of Afghan Students at IIUI

The Acting Ambassador of Afghanistan to Pakistan, Honorable Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, attended the graduation ceremony of Afghan students at the International Islamic University, Islamabad. The event included graduates from bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.

While congratulating the students, the ambassador emphasized that graduation is not the end of learning but rather the beginning of a new journey. He highlighted that knowledge should not only serve personal success but also contribute to the reform, stability, and progress of society.

The ambassador stressed that Afghanistan needs professionals who possess not only a deep understanding of their respective fields but also practical skills and a strong sense of responsibility to address the country’s economic, educational, and social challenges. He added that Afghanistan can achieve progress through education, research, and innovation, and graduates must play their role in shaping the country’s future.

The Acting Ambassador also highlighted the Afghan government’s efforts in educational policy, talent development, and the expansion of learning opportunities. He assured that the government remains committed to promoting higher education, research, and scientific innovation. Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the people, and educational institutions—particularly the leadership and faculty of the International Islamic University—as well as the Afghan Students’ Union for their valuable contributions in facilitating the academic growth of Afghan students.
