H.E. Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, the Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Islamabad, visited the University of Lahore at the official invitation of its President, Mr. Awais Raoof. During the visit, in-depth discussions took place on strengthening academic and research partnerships between Kabul and Lahore Universities. Mr. Shakeeb expressed his appreciation for the scholarships offered to Afghan students, especially in the fields of medical sciences, scientific studies, and social sciences. Both sides also discussed plans to establish specialized fellowships for Afghan healthcare professionals and to expand student exchange initiatives between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In a separate meeting, Mr. Shakeeb also met with Afghan students at University of Lahore and listened to their concerns. He reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s strong commitment to supporting Afghan students studying abroad.
