KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Visits Afghan Embassy in Islamabad

The Honourable Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, H.E. Ali Amin Gandapur, paid a visit to the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad. He was accompanied by the Honourable Advisor on Information to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, and Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Mr. Faisal Amin Gandapur. During the visit, the Chief Minister offered prayers for the souls of those martyred in the recent earthquake in Afghanistan, and conveyed his condolences to Afghan Ambassador, H.E. Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb. The discussions also focused on strengthening Afghanistan–Pakistan bilateral relations, facilitating people-to-people exchanges, enhancing trade and economic cooperation, resolving the challenges faced by returning Afghan nationals, and other related matters. Ambassador H.E. Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s compassion and support during these difficult times. He further emphasized that the shared interests of both nations could only be safeguarded through mutual respect, sincere understanding, and practical cooperation. Mr. Shakeeb also called upon the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to extend further facilities for Afghan refugees, students, patients, and travelers at crossing points. Both sides underlined that expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation would not only generate employment and income opportunities for the two countries but also play a significant role in the prosperity of the region.
